Complexul din strada Povernei era protejat ca monument (cod LMI B-II-m-B-19465), dar actualmente nu mai este inclus în listă. Intervenţia de o mare sensibilitate a Virginiei ANDREESCU HARET condusese la un complex armonios al construcţiei de secol XIX cu extinderea şi supraînălţarea cu etajele 2 şi 3, în 1944 adăugându-se al 4-lea, şi era totodată una din puţinele intervenţii pe existent din perioada interbelică. În Slovenia, arhitectul Joze PLECNIK, a operat astfel de intervenţii de restaurare în aceeaşi perioadă, dar este un exemplu rar. Construcţia iniţială era un Art Nouveau construit de Wilhelm BAST în 1891. Casa Rosetti-Soleşti, cea demolată, are o istorie remarcabilă în ce priveşte locuitorii ei. „Aici au locuit Theodor Rosetti-Soleşti (Solescu), fratele Elenei Doamna, sotia lui Alexandru Ioan Cuza-Vodă, impreuna cu soţia sa, Pulheria (1847-1925)” se scrie în raportul Observatorului Urban privind demolarea. În momentul de faţă vegetaţia acoperă mutilarea ansamblului.

The complex in Povernei street was listed as monument (cod LMI B-II-m-B-19465), but right now it isn’t anymore. The intervention of great sensibility of Virginia ANDREESCU HARET had led to a harmonious complex of the 19th century building with the extension and addition of the 2nd and 3rd upper floors, in 1944 being added a 4th. In Slovenia, the architect Joze PLECNIK, made this kind of interventions of restoration during the same period, but it is a rare example. The initial building was drawn within Art Nouveau lines by Wilhelm BAST in 1891. The Rosetti-Soleşti house, the one demolished, had a remarkable history regarding its inhabitants: ‘Here lived Theodor Rosetti-Soleşti (Solescu), the brother of Elena Doamna, the wife of Prince Alexandru Ioan Cuza, together with his wife Pulheria (1847-1925)’ is written in the report of Observatorul Urban regarding the demolition. Currently vegetation covers the mutilation of the ensemble.
