Vila construită pentru profesorul secundar Radu PERIANU (1886-1976) si soția sa, Elena, este un reușit exercițiu Art Deco care etalează cu eleganță o serie de trăsături ale stilului: cornișă și profilaturi epurate, bovindou trapezoidal în plan, balcoane rotunjite, baluștri stilizați până la forma de cilindru și altele.

Proprietarul, istoric și secretar de redacție la ‘Revista Istorică Română’, a recunoscut probabil calitățile designului contemporan propus de ANDREESCU HARET și împrejurările fericite (casa nu este înscrisă în decretul pentru naționalizarea imobilelor din 20 aprilie 1950, și a fost locuită în continuare de familia PERIANU) au făcut ca imobilul să se păstreze într-o stare foarte bună și fără intervenții neavenite. Se pot remarca la această vilă chiar trăsături care premerg Modernismului: deși nu este acoperită în terasă, acoperișul este ascuns de un atic înalt, evitând astfel streșinile, iar la etajul întâi două ferestre sunt grupate în jurul colțului dinspre Bulevardul Eroilor, mimând o fereastră de colț specifică fațadei moderniste, eliberată de rol structural.

The villa built for secondary professor Radu PERIANU (1886-1976) and his wife, Elena, is an able Art Deco exercise that elegantly exhibits a series of features of the style: clensed cornices and liner, bow-window with trapezoid-shaped plan, rounded balconies, balustres stylized to the shape of a cylinder and others.

The owner, historyan and editor at ‘Revista Istorică Română’ (Romanian Hystorical Journal), probably recognized the qualities of the contemporary design proporsed by ANDREESCU HARET and the happy circumstances (the house is not listed on the building nationalizing decree of April 20^th 1952 and it was further inhabited by the PERIANU family) allowed the building to be kept in good condition and without inappropriate interventions. Upon examining this villa one can observe features that forego Modernism: although it does not have a terrace roof, the actual roof is hidden by a high parapet, thusly avoiding the use of overhangs, and on the first floor two windows are grouped together around the corner facing Bulevardul Eroilor, simulating a corner window, typical for the non-load-baring Modernist facade.
