Vila proiectată pentru familia Generalul RUJINSKI, comandantul Corpului II Armată este compusă dintr-un joc Modernist de volume cu ușoare tușe Art Deco. Compoziția balconului-copertină și a volumului vertical care adăpostește intrarea este principalul eveniment al celor două fațade vizibile dinspre stradă. Rotunjirea plăcii balconului și sublinierea acesteia cu o balustradă metalică de influență Streamline (cum probabil că era înainte de intervențiile recente asupra fațadelor) împreună cu teșitura colțului clădirii ne confirmă bagajul Art Deco pe care îl mai aveau atât arhitecții cât și comanditarii acelor ani. Ieșirea balconului în consolă și peste trotuar a fost mai mult ca sigur un manifest al contemporaneității acelei perioade, întocmai cum era și antena de radio, tratată ca ornament pe clădirile din anii 30’.
Grupările de ferestre au rolul de a mima ferestrele de colț și fereastra-bandou ale modernității, în timp ce parapetul în trepte al scării de acces este un ecou al Art Deco-ului încă prezent la acel moment.
The villa designed for General RUJINSKI, leader of the 2nd Army Core, is comprised of a Modernist play on volumes with slight Art Deco brush strokes. The composition of the canopy-balcony and the vertical volume that houses the entrance is the main event of the two facades visible from the street. The rounding of the balcony slab and emphasizing it with the metal Streamline railing (as it must have been before the rcent facade interventions), together with the beveling of the corner of the building confirm that the Art Deco heritage that both architects and owners still carried. The cantilevering of the balcony over the sidewalk was more than likely a manifesto of the periods’ contemporaneity, just as the radio antenna was, treated as an ornament on the buildings of the 30’s.
The window groups are meant to simulate the corner and band windows of modern times, while the parapet in steps is reminiscent of Art Deco, still actual at that moment.
